I upgraded one of my blogs to WP 3.0 and now am having major problems. I've successfully upgraded other blogs but not this one and a couple of others.

First thing - the blog is invisible, it now doesn't show at all. Completely empty page with nothing showing on it.

Next thing - try to view the wp-admin page and it's all text, it doesn't show the control panel. I see stuff like this:

I've sent a message to my webhost in case this is a server problem but haven't yet heard back him - he's a few hours behind me and it's early morning where I am so doubt he's up yet. He would have gotten the message late afternoon his time yesterday but there was no reply from him overnight.

The addess is http://family.thomases.org. I don't know if anyone might be able to give me any ideas? I've tried googling to find out the problem and have seen explanations of 'white space' in one of the php pages to lack of webspace on the server causing it to not install properly. But I couldn't see any white space in the config.php file that might cause it and the webspace has tons of space and nowhere near full so both those scenarios are probably not my answer.

I found horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of my index.html page only, I tried to revert the page to defaults many times, i removed all the scripts and widgets, i changed the template many times and the problem not solved for many days now. what i noticed is by using blogger template editor is that, the first post of the main page only is very wide extending over the sidebar and passing the edge of the screen, causing horizontal scrollbar at the bottom , this is happening only in the main page

My 9 year old no-name desktop PC has just about bit the dust, so I went and purchased a new laptop to, among other things, continue my blogging adventure.

However, on this new PC, I realized over the weekend that it does not have any software which will compress the size of the photo's I take and publish with my blog's articles.

So, what picture compression software do you use? I am not looking to spend a lot of money (as you know blogging is not a get rich quick scheme). I am especially interested in freeware or inexpensive picture compresssion sofware recommendations which are very easy to use.

Photo's are a strong part of most articles on our site, so I need to get this resolved in a hurry.
